Alton Pride is a charitable and educational organization established to bring awareness, understanding, and advocacy to the regional LGBTQ+ community.
By fostering and building relationships within the surrounding communities and other 501 c3 organizations, we create a network of support that will meet the needs of LGBTQ+ people and other communities.
With monthly meetings and an active Messenger thread, this group of volunteers serves two-year terms on our Board, each responsible for a specific aspect.
Each Board member coordinates volunteer subcommittees to support their particular tasks. If you have time and/or talent to share, let's talk!
If you recently made a goal to give back and get more involved with your community, we invite you to join us! Our Board seeks to fill the two volunteer positions listed below before the New Year. Commitment includes monthly meetings and a desire to enrich our local LGBTQ+ community and benefit the Riverbend area through community outreach.
Do good in your hood! Contact us if you want to learn more about these volunteer opportunities,

Five years ago, a small group of volunteers decided Alton needed a Pride Festival. Today, Belle Street shuts down every September for hundreds of neighbors, friends, and allies — and it all started with people who believed in Community, Connection, and Compassion.
This September 12, we celebrate our 5th Annual Pride Festival. Imagine if every supporter gave just $5 — one dollar for every year we've stood together for the Riverbend LGBTQ+ community. What an impact that could have on our Festival, our scholarships, and our year-round programs.
